Privacy
The short version
We don't have accounts, we don't run ads, and we don't sell or share personal information. We use Google Analytics to count visits, and you can opt out.
Visiting the site
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to learn which pages and jobs are useful. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) that last up to two years, and it records the pages you view, the links you click (including Apply), your general location, and your device and browser type. Google processes this data, possibly outside Canada. We turned off advertising features and Google signals, so it is not used for ads. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we tell Google Analytics not to set cookies. You can also block it with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Clicking Apply
When you click Apply, we record which job's link was used and when, so we know which jobs are useful. We don't record who you are. After that you are on the employer's site, and their privacy policy applies.
Reports and job alerts (coming later)
When we add a "Report this job" button, we will keep only a one-way hash of your IP address, to stop repeated fake reports. If we add email job alerts, we will use your email only for those alerts, ask you to confirm it first, and put a one-click unsubscribe link in every email.
Technical logs
Our server keeps short-term technical logs, such as the time and the page requested, to find and fix problems.
